Kenmore 80 series(discontinued). They don't make them like this anymore. This washer is heavy duty and extra large capacity, easy to repair, washes the dirtiest clothes clean, and lasts a long, long time. I just got one on
Craigslist for $150.00, delivered and installed with a 30 day guarantee. I love Craigslist! I sold my small Kenmore 90 series washer which was not large enough or powerful enough for our growing family.

My daughter and husband bought a front loading one only about 3 years ago and its already cost more to repair than a new basic one, so they went ahead and got a basic one from Lowes this week. She needs the Kenmore probably!

Looks like you got a good deal. A large capacity washing machine and dryer are something that I've always insisted on.
It works great...got lots of towels and sheets washed clean in one load today. I think some of those front loaders have an even larger capacity, but the price was more than I wanted to pay.
Debbie - that's terrible that your daughter's machine is breaking down. For those kind of prices, you expect more. My sister just bought an $800 one. I hope hers doesn't have the same problem!
