About Me

My Photo
A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little. In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.

Everyone seems to argue that healthy food is more expensive. I would counter that it's more work. If you are willing to cook from scratch, you can really save a lot of money and up the health level of your meals. If you are willing to tend a garden, you can have organic food, too! (I'm not quite to the gardening stage yet, but working on it!)

I've been reading through some of your site since my husband and I worked out a budget this weekend. Paychecks have gotten thinner, so we have to tighten the budget belt as well. :) It's fun in a way though! We are working together toward our goals. I love a challenge.
