A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little.
In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.
I love this book. I went on a binge a few years ago and bought all sorts of "Country Diary" stuff on Ebay for my daughter's birthday ~ books, videos, stitchery kits, etc. I think I had more fun than she did! ;~P
She was quite a lovely artist, and had a tragic death in her late 40's. I just read she was accidentally drowned doing what she loved best - collecting bits of nature near the river.
I came across your blog looking for a "recipe" for Castile soap for the dishwasher and then saw this post! Within minutes I'd found a copy of this beautiful book and it will be at my house next week. It looks wonderful.
“Freedom consists not in doing what we like, but in having the right (or the free will) to do what we ought”. ~ Pope John Paul II by way of Abraham Lincoln.

Isn't that a lovely book? Mother of Divine Grace uses it for their homeschool high school program. She has also written one other book.
