About Me

My Photo
A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little. In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.

Japanese Cherry Blossoms

This picture was taken last April, our Japanese cherry blossom tree in full bloom. This year ours has just begun to burst open with blossoms in mid-March. I'm reminded of the hundreds of beautiful spring cherry blossom trees in Japan and feel so heavy hearted for the Japanese people. They have been given so much to bear.

Red Cross donations for Japan.

Beautiful. My heart is also heavy for the Japanese people. I am so admiring of their self control and orderliness, no looting, during this terrible trial. The self sacrifice of the volunteers who are remaining at their jobs at the nuclear power plant is inspiring.

I love Japanese Cherry blossoms. They grow all over Vancouver in Canada and make the city so pretty in the spring. You don't find them here very much.
