About Me

My Photo
A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little. In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.

Feast Day in Remembrance of the Holy Innocents

Today is a feast day in remembrance of the Holy Innocents, early martyrs of the church. Matthew 2, recounts that Herod, after learning of the birth of a new and all powerful king - our Lord Jesus and outwitted by the Magi, ordered the massacre of all male children of two years or under in Bethlehem.

We went to church to remember them. Father linked their deaths to all the aborted children in the world. He is very outspoken and passionate about these issues like a fresh breeze!

That part of the Christmas story always upsets my children. It's terrible. King Herod sure had a lot to answer for.
