About Me

My Photo
A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little. In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.

Thrift Store Finds

Today was buy-one-get-one-half-off on children's clothing at my favorite thrift store. I purchased ten children's items in larger sizes: church dresses, night clothes, and casual wear. I found one brown Boho cotton skirt for myself; the rest was for my daughter. She'll be able to wear the clothing next year and the year after.

I unloaded a lot of cold weather clothing today, a final clean out of children's outgrown clothing, and earned a 20% off card for multiple donations. I'm sure the next shopper will be happy to find a group of same size clothing for an older boy and little girl. I know I always am.

Total spent: $25.00 and some change.

My coat stash is low, so I'll probably go out again next week to the thrifts. I usually have children's coats and jackets for at least two years ahead. Hopefully people are still cleaning out their closets.
