About Me

My Photo
A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little. In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.

A Few Thrift Store Finds Today

Two pairs of children's winter PJs for next winter, a girl's sun dress, button down boy's shirt, a boy's leather dress belt, three women's skirts, and a women's shirt. Total spent:  $29.00 and some change. Prices have risen a little for women's clothing, but are still a great deal.

Good deals :) I love Savers which donates a portion of it's funds to Big Brothers/Big Sisters (or other local charities). It's garage sale season here and I can get a whole year's wardrobe in one season.. I'm totally hooked. Thanks for sharing your finds.

Thanks! I used to yardsale every week with a route all mapped out. Oh, the fun I had! Sadly, this area has changed and yardsales are fewer, or less stocked with treasures. I think some of it maybe that the fees for the license went up, and people are hanging onto stuff now.

I miss those days, but the thrifts are still okay for clothes and children's items.

Wishing you good finds during yardsale season!
