Wow. Great post and so true.
I'm reading Dr. Laura's book "In Praise of the Stay-at-Home Mom" and it's wonderful with lots of the same mindset as above. You'd enjoy it too.

I think this is my favorite Chesterton quote, and nearly everything he says is a favorite.
