About Me

My Photo
A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little. In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.

The Book Samaritan: Helping Homeschoolers with Financial Hardships

The Book Samaritan, a non-profit organization, has been around for many years helping homeschool families in need.

"We are here to help Homeschooling families. We send curriculum and supplies to homeschooling families in need, for free. We could not do this without the help of people who are willing to donate their curriculum and books. Our ministry relies on you. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your generosity."

If you can donate curricula or need assistance, click here for more information. USA only.

I'm currently home schooling my 16 yr.old daughter Bridgette. I enrolled her with Pen Foster not knowing anything about how to home school. With your wonderful advice about home schooling, I'm finding out their are more programs to look into. Thanks for your advice...much appreciated. Jacqueline ^_^
