A Little Free Form Painting...

Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures.
-- Henry Ward Beecher

An impromptu request to paint. She mixes red, yellow, blue, black, and white; and directs(a lot), and paints a little as the cat watches on.

She asked for a doughnut, on a plate, by a window...it evolved...we are still working on it. ; )

Deciding which brush I must use - homeschool in reverse(giggle). Mostly she likes to tell me what to paint, but she's learning a lot about mixing colors just via experimentation.

Thanks...it's one of my favorite things to do with her. We never know how it will turn out - sort of free association painting(giggle).

Yes, he likes to watch, but mostly the cat bats at my paint brush, and tries to drink the brush water. lol. He's very spoiled and bossy.

What fun! None of my kids are into painting yet. E likes to fill in the entire page with one color, and M like to eat it. :)

Yep, O liked to eat it up until recently. She mostly makes lots of squiggles, and "tracks" as she calls them. Although she has made a few scary balloon head portraits of me. Giggle. My son was a reluctant painter...we took him to art classes in preschool and K, but he never really liked it. He won't paint or draw at all now - so not interested into anything crafty.
