When you change $40.00 for one of their gift certificates, you get a free $10.00, topping off your gift certificate to $50.00. I've been waiting for this; they usually have this promotion every year. There is no fee, and there is a pretty decent selection for gift certificates.I usually get one for Amazon, and this year I'll have an extra $10.00 to shop, just in time for Christmas. Check out participating locations here. This offer expires 12/6/09.
Unrelated, but since I mentioned Amazon.com, I also have $10.00 in free Amazon gift certificates earned fairly quickly via Swagbucks which rewards you for internet searches. We are feeling the crunch of the recession, so this is a great way to save money on Christmas gifts. My son has books and videos on his wish list; these freebie Amazon gift certificates will come in handy.
About Me
- Alexandra
- We've been homeschooling and living on one income since 2001. This is a second career for me; I got started having children in my 30's, and quit a 13 year career as a case manager to homeschool and be a full-time mom. It's the hardest job you'll ever love. I have two children and a little saint in heaven. My beloved husband of 16 years is a professional firefighter, and part-time homeschool teacher.

Yeah!
Thank you for passing this on!
I was just looking at that butter tub full of nickles and pennies...
Do you find the swagbucks to be worthwhile? I have heard that several people are able to do well with them, but am unsure how. Thanks!
It took me a long time to actually try it, but I kept seeing good things about this site on blogs that I trust. I do searches all the time, so it is not much of an effort to earn points. It's very worthwhile if you regularly do internet searches. I began using the site in earnest in September(I think), and I am already on my third Amazon gift certificate for $5.00.
I was wary about adding the search bar, but it has not bothered or interfered with anything on my computer. I have Firefox, so adding this was very easy.
I give it two thumbs up. It's as good or better than Mypoints.com(shopping, surveys, reading emails for points, etc.)...I have been using this site for years.
