About Me

My Photo
A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little. In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.

Best Thrifty Homeschooler 2009

A few people nominated me for Best Thrifty Homeschooler 2009. Thank you! There are many interesting blogs up for awards and prizes. Vote here for Best Thrify Homeschooler. Voting ends 11/21/09.

It's all in good fun, and I don't have a chance against Money Saving Mom. She wins by a landslide every year, and if you coupon and rebate, she is THE place to visit for good deals.

I like the Homeschool Blog Awards for the opportunity to visit interesting and helpful homeschool blogs across the blogsphere. The prizes are nice, but I really don't need anything, other than cash of course. LOL. No cash awards unfortunately. I appreciate the nomination though; thank you for thinking of me. If you are visiting here from the Homeschool Blog Awards, I hope you can find something useful for home and school, and that you find encouragement for your journey.

It's always exciting to find new blogs, isn't it?

I won't win either. {g} Someone living somehere like China usually wins, but it's fun to be nominated and check out the other blogs anyway!

We'll be bridesmaids together, Alexandra!{g}
