About Me

My Photo
A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little. In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.

Keep Your Car Smelling Fresh!

I discovered a rather obvious way to keep the car smelling fresh after I left some handmade Mexican soap in the front seat! I got a few bars of this freshly scented soap from Pier One, on sale for only .75 cents. I must go back for more because the bars are staying in the car. It has been so nice to step into a car which smells like a cross between the ocean and fresh limes!

Stinky car? Leave a few bars of strongly scented soap under the seat.

Ok, I can;t wait to try this. I bet it's especially good in the summer. I know I have some nice handmade soap hanging around the house somewhere...

Great idea!

I remember my grannie used to store her unwrapped bars of soap in her nightie and underdrawers drawers.

Now, I can maybe make that 12 year old van smell sweeter.
