About Me

My Photo
A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little. In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.

We Are Ready...

The rest of my curriculum came in for my son's sixth grade year. I had purchased much of it on ebay during the past two years, so I was just missing some odds and ends. The science was new this year, and I had to buy this retail. The shelves are full of all sorts of knowledge and wisdom, just waiting to be absorbed. The pencils are sharpened and erasers ready! Ahh, I love the smell of new books.

All I've got left is to file my paperwork, and send in his testing materials.

Wow, 6th grade! I'm impressed that you are already ready. Your son is lucky to have his Mom as a teacher. You are also very organized to be on the lookout on ebay for future school years like that.

I'm fast approaching being ready as well. I'm just tying up loose ends & trying to get my plans finalized. I just told my boys we're starting August 3rd. I want a good head start this year. ;-)

Debbie, did you see your computer covers on the top shelf? I use them all the time! Thanks for your kind words. :)

BP - I'm starting early as well. :)

We got our fist homeschooling curriculum yesterday. I was thrilled and then it kind of hit me. I am really homeschooling. LOL. I am a first year homeschooler to a 4th grader with little ones.
