About Me

My Photo
A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little. In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.

When It's too Hot...

work a puzzle with the family indoors. I found a beautiful puzzle today at Walmart by Kinuko Craft which reminded me of the Pre-Raphaelite painters. Kinuko Craft is a contemporary artist known for her illustrations of fairy tale and mythology books. I also noticed that the puzzles are "green", made of 90% recycled materials and use vegetables dyes for the ink. This one is pretty enough to frame.

One of Craft's children's books:

Cinderella

I ADORE her artwork. She's done covers for one of my favorite authors, Patricia A. McKillip (yes, yes, I know. I'm in my twenties and I still read fairy tales! But they're so HAPPY... *grin*)
