About Me

My Photo
A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little. In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.

Weee're Back!

Back, but not whole...I injured my neck before the vacation(ER visit the night before we left) and it still hurts! Light blogging while I rest my neck. We had a great time at the Jersey Shore, and after seeing some of the pictures I realized that I really need to start my diet now rather than later. Geez, how did I pack on all this weight?! I lost 20 pounds on a low carb diet a few years ago after a pregnancy. I kept it off until I had my daughter, and three years later, it's still here, all 30 pounds of it . A low carb diet should work again if I stick to it. Vanity aside, we had a great time getting to the beaches, the Cape May Zoo, Lucy the Elephant, and three different boardwalks. I forgot that June is still a bit chilly up in Jersey. Swimming was kept to the pool at the hotel, and we only waded into the ocean. That water was cold!

I watched earth after humans (I think that was the name of the show) this week and one of the highlights of the show was what would happen to Lucy once all the humans were gone. I just thought it was interesting to see your post with a picture of Lucy seeing I watched a show this week that featured her.

good luck with loosing weight. I really need to loose some too.

I haven't ever tried a low carb diet because I am such a carb junkie. I just love my breads and pastas.

It looks like you had a fun time even with the neck injury!

(Please don't put off caring for yourself! If you need a second opinion, please get one!)

I'm struggling with weight issues. Please post what you find works well for you!

BTW, We have similar hair. I had mine cut in a shortish bob a few months ago and once again am growing it back out. It's easier to just let it curl...
