About Me

My Photo
A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little. In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.

Ethnic Food Recipes Using Chicken and Yogurt

If you are bored with the same old recipes, here are some really different tasting chicken meals. These spicy, tangy meals add so much variety. I've had these at restaurants in the past, and now I'm going to try them at home. These easy recipes use yogurt as a base for the sauce . I have a yogurt maker, and it makes large batches of yogurt which I need to use up. I used the Allrecipes ingredient search to look up chicken recipes using yogurt. Yogurt is a light ingredient base when warmer weather arrives, good on the waist line as well! We plan to try these during the next two weeks; I'll post updates:

Chicken Shawarma

Biriyani

Tandoori Chicken

I've got a version of Tandoori chicken marinating in the frig for tomorrow night. My son looks up the country of origin for these recipes on our map after dinner. Hey, even dinner can be a learning experience.
