About Me

My Photo
A homeschooling mother of one teenager and a little. In 2001, I resigned from my 13 year position as a case manager to homeschool my oldest who was a preschooler at the time, and later a daughter who came along in 2005. This is by far the hardest job I've ever loved. My husband of nearly 20 years supports us as a fire fighter and EMT.

Garden Blessing:

"O almighty everlasting God we beseech thee to bless
these flowers and vegetables. May there be in them abundance,
goodness, virtue, tranquility, peace, victory, the plenitude of blessing, thanksgiving to God the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, and a most
pleasing commemoration of the glorious Mother of God -
that . . . they may put forth an odor of virtue and
sweetness." ~ taken partially from The Blessing of Mary Gardens as a Holy Places.

ALEXANDRA, THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS! My daughter, who is 15 and home schooled, is an avid gardener and is interested in homesteading - this is wonderful, as she is only planting organic seeds this year! We are so happy with her, and she will be thrilled when I tell her about this! Thank you for sharing!
