First Sunday in Advent

A free Advent coloring page from abcteach.com.

Advent Wreath Prayer:

Read from the Prophet Isaiah 9:1-6 from the Family Bible.

Leader. Lord our God,
we praise you for your Son, Jesus Christ:
he is Emmanuel, God with us,
the hope of the peoples
he is the wisdom that teaches and guides us,
he is the Savior of every nation.
Lord God, let your blessing come upon us
as we light the candles of this wreath.
May the wreath and its light
be a sign of Christ's promise to bring us salvation.
May he come quickly and not delay.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN.

From Father Pat's Place

I'll post a picture of our Advent wreath, but this year it is really simple(a ring to hold candles only) because of "busy fingers". The little fingers have already broken the one pink candle in half, so that one is really short! The simple ring is very easy to move up to a high place when we are not using it.
